82, formerly of St. Clair, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Katie is survived by 3 children, Frank E. Seely , John C. Seely and JoEllen Seely Phillips. A service will take place at 10 a.m. March 11 at the Holy Trinity Parish's St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be March 10 from 2-7 p.m. in the Smith Family Funeral Home - South, 1230 7th Street. There will also be visitation at church on March 11th beginning at 9 a.m.

Kathleen T. "Katie" Seely, age 82, formerly of St. Clair died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at her home in Richardson, Texas after a long illness. She was born June 30, 1930 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Edward and Gladys O’Donnell and was a lifelong area resident. She married Frank C. Seely at St. Stephen Catholic Church on August 25, 1951. He preceeded her in death two years-ago. Katie was a graduate of St. Stephen School.

She and her husband owned Seely’s Standard Service for over 50 years, and sponsored area sports teams. Katie nurtured her three children into successful adulthood and gave her time to the community. She was a member of the Altar Society at St. Stephen Catholic Church, an Adult Leader in Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Campfire Girls and a Gray Lady volunteer at Port Huron Hospital. She also worked for Welcome Wagon and Alice's Kitchen and Bath in Port Huron.

Katie cherished more than 25 years as a resident of Butternut Drive in North Lakeport, and Ventura in Orlando, Florida. She will be missed by all the friends and family woven into her life.

Katie is survived by 3 children, Frank E. (Christine Webster) Seely of Blissfield, Michigan, John C. (Diane Redmond) Seely of Alexandria, Virginia and JoEllen Seely Phillips of Richardson, Texas, 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dan) Bidwell, Emily Webster-Seely, Kathleen L. Seely-Gant, John C. Seely-Gant, Constance M. Seely-Gant, Ryan (Cara) Phillips, Hillary (Ernesto) Arieta, and 4 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place at 10 AM March 11 at the Holy Trinity Parish’s St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Rev. Fr. Brian K. Cokonougher officiating. Visitation will be March 10 from 2-7 PM in the Smith Family Funeral Home – South, 1230 7th Street. There will also be visitation at church on March 11th beginning at 9 AM.
