Mrs. Mary B. Seely

Mrs. Mary B. Seely, 70, mother of John C. Seely, assistant cashier and manager of the personal loan department of the Pittsfield National Bank, died yesterday in New York after a short illness.

Mrs. Seely was born in Pittsfield, daughter of Patrick and Bridget Mahanna Connors, and lived here many years before moving to Ne w York in 1933. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. Survivors besides her son are a daughter, Miss Ruth M. Seely, a registered nurse, and two grandchildren; also a brother, Lawrence Connors, and two sisters, the Misses Lillian and Catherine Connors of New York.

The body will arrive in Pittsfield tonight and will be taken to Dwyer Funeral Home where friends may call from 8 to 10, also tomorrow afternoon from 2 to 5 and tomorrow evening from 7 to 10.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary B. Seely will be tomorrow morning at 8:15 at the Dwyer Funeral Home followed at 9 at St. Joseph’s Church with a high mass of requiem. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon from 2 to 5 and tonight from 7 to 10.

A high mass of requiem was celebrated for Mrs. Mary V. Seely whose funeral was at 9 this morning at St. Joseph’s Church. Rev. Charles L. Foley officiated. Bearers were William J. Butler, John T. Reid, Daniel J. Collins, James Stack, Raymond Flynn and Joseph H. Brady. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Rev. Francis Sullivan offered prayers at the grave.
