MICHAEL DONALD SEELY

Michael Donald Seely, 59 of Duluth, went to the Lord, after a lengthy illness, on Nov. 11, 2012.

He was born March 18, 1953 to Bernice Georgia (Furney) and Sheryl Donald Seely.

Mike loved his children and had a passion for cooking, enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish. He was a football fanatic and had a great appreciation for music.

Mike was a chef by trade and cooked in many fine restaurants including the former Highland Supper Club. He owned and operated his own coffee shop for a number of years. In the 1980’s he worked as a union organizer and as the secretary/treasurer of the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees Union Local No. 99.

In the 1990’s Mike was the host of “Sounds of the Bay” on KUMD radio. He thoroughly loved sharing the blues music of the San Francisco Bay from an era in his life that he enjoyed so.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Ann Marie Antcliff and his parents.

He is survived by his children, Michael Seely, Jessica Seely (Jason Aebli); Karla Erickson and her children; his brother, Steve (Ann) and their children, Michael and Elizabeth; dear friends, Dave and Gail Johnson and Boomer Brown.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 in the Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering of friends and family will be from 12:30 p.m. until the start of the service.
