Norman G. Seely
(February 14, 1928 - September 11, 2012)

MADISON / TOMAH - Norman G. Seely age 84 of Madison released his soul into eternal life on Sept. 11, 2012. Norman was born on Feb. 14, 1928 to Bird and Ruby (Spry) Seely. He married Beverly Carlson on Dec. 1, 1956 at Bethel Baptist Church in Camp Douglas WI. Their marriage was blessed with two children, son Edward and daughter Lori. Norman worked at Gisholt Machine in Madison also Ft McCoy in Sparta. He and his wife Beverly liked to travel the US visiting many states, including Alaska, they had also traveled to Ireland. Norman was an avid sportsman who could often be found hunting or fishing. In his later years he enjoyed watching western movies and doing fill-it-in puzzles.

Norman is survived by his daughter Lori of Madison, many nieces and nephews, honorary grandchildren Dylan and Anjelica “Angel”, Andrew, Logan, and Amber Zuelke, Amber Fortney, brother-in-laws Gene (wife Pat) Carlson of Tomah WI and Rick (wife Judy) Carlson of Geronimo OK, special friends Willy Cook of Readstown and Ricky Schaffer of Dousman along with special nieces and nephews who were with Norman in his final days, Barb Georgeson, Bruce (wife Beatrice), Brian (wife Sharon) and Bernard Jr. Norman was preceded in death by his parents Bird and Ruby Seely, wife Beverly, son Edward, brother Vernon , who passed as an infant, brother Bernard Seely and his wife Betty, brother Raymond Seeley and his wife Paulene, and a sister Violet Clancy and her husband Harold. Sister-in-law Dee Carlson and nieces Cindy Carlson and Kay Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, at noon on Saturday, October 6, 2012, with Father Mike Tess presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Bloom City Cemetery.

In honor of Norman’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or Wisconsin Heart, 5601 W. Beltline Highway, Madison, WI, 53713.
