Peggy Jones Seely passed away at the home of her daughter, Patti Davis, on Sept 6, 2012 in Corpus Christi.

Peggy was born July 16, 1923 in Kennett, Missouri to parents Edward R Jones and Pauline R O'Bryant. The family eventually settled in Blytheville Arkansas. Peggy married Joseph D "Jack" Wagner, a pilot in the US Army Air Corps. They were married March 28, 1943. They had one child, Jackie Wagner. Jack Wagner died in a plane crash in late 1943.

Peggy's second marriage was to William E "Bill" Seely, They were married Dec. 7th, 1946, in Hernando MS, and the family lived for many years near Clarksdale Mississippi where Bill operated cotton gins and later owned a fertilizer chemicals business. They raised and loved four more children: Cindy, Patricia, Cherie and Bill Jr.

Peggy is remembered for her great wit, always had a joke for anyone who'd listen; music and books (especially cookbooks!) were passions of hers, outside her role of motherhood. She loved cooking for family. Late in life, she became a Licensed Vocational Coahoma County Hospital and at a nursing home in Duncan Mississippi, providing loving care to others. She loved being a nurse and often shared "I know just enough to be dangerous" laughingly. As time went by, with children grown, she retired from nursing. In later years, Peggy also lived in Gulf Shores AL, Pensacola FL, Houston, TX and Corpus Christi, TX, living near family members.

May she rest in peace at a table full of her favorite foods and people who have gone before her. With much love, many memories, she will be lovingly remembered by those lives she touched.
