Perry Melvin Seely Sr., 70, of Livingston, died Thursday at Deaconess Hospital where he had been a patient since Oct. 15.

He was born April 6, 1901, in Cass County, Minn., the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Right Seely. He married Eva A. Pride Sept 5, 1922, at Long Prairie, Minn. They lived at Staples, Minn., and moved to Livingston in 1941. He was a machinist for the Northern Pacific Railroad.

He was a member of the Holbrook Methodist Church, secretary of the Eagles No. 2434, secretary of Employes Mutual Benefit Association, the Brotherhood Association of Railway Employes and a machinists union.

Survivors include the widow, two sons, Perry Jr., Staples and James, Lakewood, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Nurdella, Livingston, and Mrs. Thomas Boyle, Grand Island, Neb.; the step-mother, Mrs. Alice Seely, Deer River, Minn.; four brothers, Paul, Staples, Phil, Escondido, Calif., Harvey, Warbo, Minn., and Jess, Crosby, Minn; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Smith, Tracy, Minn., and Mrs. Lyle Adams, Cohasset, Minn.; five half brothers; five half-sisters; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Staples.

Dahl-Brown Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
