Sarah "Dottie" Ford Seely, 81, of Wakefield, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at the Dunlop House in Colonial Heights. She was born Dec. 11, 1931, in Waverly, to the late Walter H. Ford and Annie Scott Ford, and was preceded in death by: her husbands, Al H. Hall Jr., and John L. Seely.
Mrs. Seely was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church and Waverly Congregational Christian Church.
She is survived by: her loving and devoted daughter and son-in-law, Robbie H. Barnes; and Brad of S. Chesterfield; grandson, Al Slade of S. Chesterfield; great-granddaughter, Hannah Slade of Colonial Heights; sisters, Anne F. Guelich, Page L. Thomas and husband John, Evelyn Lewis; uncle Robb E. Scott and wife, Thelma; and several nieces; and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, 2013, in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 9227 River Road, South Chesterfield, with the Rev. Michelle Edmonds Lindsey, officiating. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Waverly Cemetery Waverly.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.
