Stephen A. Douglas Seely, 57, Benton township farmer, died at 6:00 o’clock last night at Vinton city hospital where he had been confined for nearly a month. He had been in poor health for nearly half a year. Funeral services will be held from the Hite chapel Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. S.T. Wall. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call between seven and nine o’clock this evening at the Hite chapel.

The deceased was born Sept. 8, 1881, near Mt. Auburn, the son of William and Alice Seely. For the last two years he lived on a farm in Benton township. Before that he had operated a restaurant in Falls City, Neb. He was drafted in the army during the World war and spent a month in a camp at ….. incomplete
