Thomas Seely Services Held

Funeral services for Thomas Charles Seely, 57, who died of a heart attack at Crow Agency, Mont., were held March 24 at the Bullis Funeral Home in Hardin, Mont. Burial was in the Custer Battlefield National Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 28, 1914, at Missoula. He attended the Missoula schools and the University of Montana, later working for the Missoula newspaper.

In 1943, he entered the Army, serving in the Pacific theatre, and was wounded on Guam in 1944.

On April 10, 1946, he was married to Shirley Hedrick, formerly of Estherville, at Dibble General Hospital in Menlo Park, Calif. She is the daughter of Clifford Hedrick, owner-operator of the Paris Cleaners in Estherville.

After his discharge from the service in 1947, Mr. Seely returned to Montana, where he was employed by the Unemployment Compensation Commission, the State Highway Department, and a private construction business.

In 1959, he entered government work, and was plant manager and Housing Coordinator for the Bureau of Indian Affairs until the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Hedrick) Seely, Crow Agency, Mont.; three sons, Christian, Spokane, Wash.; Steve, Baton Rouge, La.; Scott, Crow Agency, Mont.; one daughter, Susan, Crow Agency, Mont.; and eight grandchildren.
