Weldon Durwood Seely


ODESSA -- Graveside services for Weldon Durwood Seely, 68, of Odessa will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mike Hill officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Thornton, Arlin Sides, Louis Cooper, Joe Luera, Guy Smiley and Buford Keeton.

Mr. Seely died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born July 1, 1930, in O'Donnell. He married Zada Pearce Feb. 10, 1951, in Clovis, N.M.

Mr. Seely moved to Odessa in 1964 from Goldsmith. He was a field maintenance coordinator for Phillips Petroleum for 41 years. He was a family man.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Seely.

Survivors include his wife, Zada Seely of Odessa; sons, Dwayne Seely and his wife, Sherry, of Odessa, Ron Seely and his wife, Frances, of Odessa; daughter, Marsha Hill and her husband, Mike, of Abilene; parents, Price and Fern Seely of O'Donnell; brother, Dan Seely and his wife, Judy, of Lamesa; five grandchildren, Stacy and Shane Hill of Abilene, Wayne Seely, John Nevill and Regan Cross, all of Odessa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
