William J. “Bill” Seely, 73, of 602 Maxwell Drive died at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, 1996, at his residence following a short illness.

He was born in Troy Center on March 15, 1923, the son of Walter L. and Myrtle Marsh Seely.

He married the former Stella M. Fadden on Dec. 27, 1941, in St. Titus Church.

Mr. Seely had been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for over 26 years. His last position was maintenance manager in the Meadville garage.

He was a member of Troy Center United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing and playing bingo.

Mr. Seely is survived by his wife of Titusville; three daughters, Mrs. Leslie (Sandra) Hauptmann of Titusville, RD 5, Mrs. Jim (Sonja) Sharp of East Hickory; and Mrs. Gary (Mona) Hummell of Pleasantville; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.

No public calling hours will be held. A private funeral service will be held for the family. Interment will be in Troy Center Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions can be made to the Hospice of Crawford County (Titusville Office), 322 W. Main St., Titusville.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Leo N. Hennes Funeral Home.
