Wilma Jean Seely was born April 4, 1914, in Granby, Missouri, to William Henry and Louise Rose (Stussy) Knaust. She died Sunday, June 29, 2014, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 100 years. Wilma was reared and educated in Joplin, Missouri, and was a graduate of Joplin High School. She was married September 21, 1935, to Charles E. Seely. She spent most of her working life as a homemaker caring for her family. Wilma was a faithful Christian and had attended Memorial Christian Church in Tulsa. After moving to Owasso in 1974, she attended Owasso First Christian Church. She was a longtime resident of the Baptist Village in Owasso where she made many friends and was involved in many activities, including being a member of the Kitchen Band. She enjoyed playing card games, Bingo, and Skipbo, among others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Seely, three sisters, Thelma Utter, Charlotte Dickson, and Jo Anne Ellsworth, and two brothers, Leo Knaust and John Knaust.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at the Alsup Chapel of the Owasso Baptist Village. Committal services and interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Wilma to Tulsa SPCA, 2910 Mohawk Boulevard, Tulsa, OK 74110. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
