Alexander J., age 84 years, of Harrington Park, NJ, formerly of Norwood, NJ, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 19, 2008. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Kithy) for 55 years. Devoted father of Karen (Jim) Werner of Pittsburgh, PA, Tim (Jacquelynn) of Allentown, NJ and Mary Beth of Hawthorne, NJ. Loving grandfather of Eric, Craig, Kurt and Celia Werner.
Alex proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a manager with New York Telephone Company until he retired in 1988. He was a member of Montvale Evangelical Free Church.
Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, July 21, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Avenue, Northvale, New Jersey 07647. A Memorial Service will be held at Montvale Evangelical Free Church (Grand Avenue) on Tuesday, July 22 at 10 AM. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly.
