Mt. Pleasant Pioneer Answers Death Call

Mt. Pleasant. April 19. – Mrs. Anne Watkins Seely, 80, a pioneer resident of this city, widow of William S. Seely, died Monday evening from infirmities incident to old age.

Mrs. Seely was born in Gilwln, Lanessay, South Wales, May 22, 1846, and came to Mt. Pleasant in August, 1868. She is survived by a son, Alfred Seely; a daughter, mrs. Jesse Petersen; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.

Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Anne W. Seely

MT. PLEASANT, April 22. – Funeral services for Mrs. Anne Watkins Seely were held Thursday afternoon in the South ward chapel, with Bishop A.L. Petersen president.

The speakers were Mayor Joseph Seely, C.W. Sorensen and Bishop Petersen, who also read a tribute from C.N. Lund of Salt Lake.

The grave was dedicated by Mads Andersen.
