Charles R. Seely


SANDUSKY – Charles R. Seely, 76, died unexpectedly yesterday morning in his home, 1330 Shelby St. He was born Dec. 15, 1884 in LaGrange Township and formerly lived at 4802 Milan Rd. for many years.

Mr. Seely was formerly employed by the New York Central Railroad for about 40 years as a telephone and railroad telegraph lineman. He retired 11 years ago.

Survivors are his wife, the former Floy Homler; a son, Richard L. Seely, Norwalk; a daughter, Mrs. Donald J. (Florence) Miller, Sandusky; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Byron and Jesse Seely, both of LaGrange.

Friends will be received in the Richard Bertsch Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. Services will be in the funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Carl J. Mittermaier, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
