Donald Curtis Seely

Donald Curtis Seely, 78, of Petaluma, California, formerly of Ontario and Upland, passed away September 23 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, following complications from surgery. He was born August 8, 1929 in Colton, California and attended Chaffey High School, graduating with the class of '47. An early career in professional baseball was interrupted by military service in Korea during 1950-52. Returning home, Don became a barber, and for many years owned a succession of barbershops in the Upland- Ontario area. Upon retirement, he moved first to the mountain community of Lake Arrowhead, where he lived for ten years, finally relocating to Petaluma to be near his son and daughter-in-law Paul and Sasha Seely. He is survived by two children from his forty-year marriage to Barbara Martin Seely: daughter Jana Seely of Cambria, California, and son Paul Seely of Rohnert Park, California. At Don's request, no memorial service will be held.
