Durward SEELY - Age 76 of Nashville. April 1, 2005. Preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Hall. He leaves his son, Jeff (Ginger) Seely; daughters, Jackie (Troy) Tuttle and Johanna (JB) Crowder; eight grandchildren, Hailey, Elisha, Summer and Hayden Seely, Taylor, Corey and Travis Tuttle and Samantha Baxter; brother, Doug (Molly) Seely; nephew, James Hall; nieces, Chyril deVries and Lynn Spera. Born in Sherman Mills, ME on July 22, 1928. Pappy was a 1951 graduate of the University of Maine. He served in the U.S. Army, spending time in Germany. Pappy retired from a long career with the Castner Knott Company. He had several years experience in Nashville real estate before starting in the jewlery industry. He was a devoted father to three loving children and eight grandchildren. Our Pappy will live in our hearts forever and be deeply missed. Memorial services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2005 from Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Nashville National Cemetery. Durward “Jack” William Seely, 76, from Nashville, Tennessee, on April 1, 2005. B.A. in economics and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Maine Outing Club, Politics and International Affairs Club, and Scabbard & Blade. He was a veteran of the Army, stationed in Germany. He was employed for many years with Caster Knott Company, had several years in Nashville real estate, and later started working in the jewelry industry. He is survived by three children and eight grandchildren.
