Harriet Seely


Mrs. Harriet Seely, widow of the late Morgan Seely, of Osceola, died Wednesday morning, aged 96 years. She was the daughter of Anson and Lucy Beebe, who located at Lawrenceville in 1817. On March 12, 1821, she was born, and was married to Morgan Seely in 1847. To them were born four children, three of whom survive – Mrs. C.H. Bosworth, of Wyalusing: F.J. Seely, of Osceola, and Ed. Seely, of Hartford, Conn. She is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral was held Saturday at two o’clock.

The funeral of Harriet Seely was held April 28. Rev. R.W. Rowland, of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Mrs. Seely was 96 years old on March 12. She was the widow of the late Morgan Seely and had lived at Osceola the greater part of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. C.H. Bosworth, and two sons, F.J. Seely and Edward M. Seely.
