Harry M. Seely


Harry M. Seely, 69, of Alder Creek, NY, died Aug. 3. Mr. Seely, a former Wallaceville resident, had been in poor health for a few years.

A son of J. Audley and Bessie Miles Seely, he was born Dec. 27, 1900, on the Miles homestead in Wallaceville. He attended grade school there and was graduated from the Sunville High school in 1918. He attended the Methodist Church while there.

He moved from Wallaceville in 1925 and worked in the western and Canadian harvest fields for awhile. In 1928 he worked in road construction, and in 1932 reached Alder Creek where he remained. He operated a service station there at the time of his death.

He married Miss Lorraine Platt of Alder Creek in 1932. She survives him along with a brother, Glenn D. Seely of Franklin, RD 1. Two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Seely, died several years ago.

Burial was in Alder Creek on Aug. 6.
