Retired Naval Officer Drops Dead

PHILADELPHIA, May 23. – Capt. Henry B. Seely, aged sixty-one years, a retired naval officer, dropped dead in the street in West Philadelphia this afternoon. Capt. Seely was Captain of the League Island Navy Yard from 1884 to 1888, and was then made Commandant, in which capacity he served until 1891, when he was placed in command of the Lancaster. In June, 1892, he was placed on the retired list. He formerly lived at Delhi, N.Y.
