James Tylee Seely

Age 82, of Hamilton Street, Schenectady, died suddenly Tuesday, February 26th, 2008. Born in Elmira, NY, to Tylee and Flossey Seely, Mr. Seely lived in Millerton, PA, until he enlisted in the US Navy during WWII. He served with distinction throughout the Pacific Theatre and upon honorable discharge, received a BA degree from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. Mr. Seely was recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict and upon completion of duty he came to Schenectady in 1952 and represented Lederle Laboratories as a medical salesman. He later spent several years as a counselor at ACSC Purcell House until his retirement. Survivors include wife, Shelly; and her children, Elouise and Behan. James is also survived by sons, James Seely of Center Harbor, NH, and Brad (Julee) Seely, MD of Roseburg, OR; and daughters, Linda (Joseph) Parillo of Niskayuna, Pam (Thomas) Palombo of Scotia, and Sue (John) Seely of Rosendale, NY. He is also survived by a brother, John Seely of Elmira, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
