Sept. 15, 1926 -Sept. 23, 2 008 GOSHEN - J. Lee Seely, 82, of 62820 C. R. 29, died at 1:15 p.m.

Tuesday (Sept.23, 2008) in The Maples, where he was admitted Sept.4, 2008.

He was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Elkhart to William Lee and Grace (Penn) Seely.

On March 7, 1948, he married Kathleen Stroup in Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, Millersburg.

She survives along with two daughters, Julie Fisher and Jane (Jim) Yoder, both of Goshen; two granddaughters, Erin (Nick) Mc-Clintock of Lusby, Md., and Jamie Yoder of Indianapolis; one grandson, Jordan Yoder of Durham, N. C. ; one great-grandson, Liam McClintock of Lusby; and one sister, Eunice Reed of Bolling Green, Ky.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Adrian Munro Fisher and Leigh Seely Fisher; and two sisters, Lelah Roth and Mildred Ulery.

Mr. Seely was a carpenter for DJ Construction and worked as head of building maintenance for Starcraft from which he retired. He was a member of Zion Community Church and Legion 484, Millersburg. Mr. Seely was a U. S. WorldWar II veteran, serving in Hawaii.

He was a die hard Chicago Cubs and Indiana University basketball fan.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S.

Main St., Goshen. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Community Church, Millersburg. Pastor Bob Doane of Zion Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, where military honors will be given.

Memorials may be given to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Elkhart County.
