Joan W. Seely, 95, died June 28, 2009, at the Treasure Coast Hospice Residence in Stuart.
She was born in Montclair, N.J., and lived in Stuart since 1985, coming from New York.
She was a homemaker and a member of the first class at Bennington College.
She was a member of the New York Junior League, the Key Biscayne Yacht Club, St. Mary's Episcopal Church and volunteered at Martin Memorial Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Loraine Kindred of Palm Beach and Joanne Mayhugh of Fort Lauderdale; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Van Dolen and William Seely.
