PNEUMONIA CLAIMS MRS. JULIA SEELY

Aged and Highly Respected Resident of Canisteo Passed Away at Her Home Early Today

Canisteo, Nov. 16. – Mrs. Julia Seely, 70 years old, died at 5:30 o’clock this morning at her home in East Main street following a brief illness with pneumonia. She was taken sick last Saturday but her condition has been serious from the first.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church and also the Maccabees. Her long residence in Canisteo has enabled her to form a wide circle of friends and acquaintances and the news of her death was the source of much real sorrow. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William B. Taylor and Miss Isabelle Seely, both of Canisteo, and a granddaughter, Miss Isabel Taylor, also of Canisteo. She was the mother of the late James L. Seely, Jr., former postmaster of Canisteo.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the house and burial will take place in Hillside cemetery.
