Justus Earl Seely


ROY – Justus Earl Seely, 77, of 4879 S. 2350 W., died Sunday at the Weber Memorial Hospital of Natural causes.

Mr. Seely was born Sept 7, 1896, in Castle Dale, Utah, a son of Justus Wellington and Clara Sorensen Seely.

On June 26, 1918, he was married to Rhoda Nelson in Cordston, Canada. She died April 28, 1967.

He had been a farmer and had worked at Hill Air Force Base and Defense Depot Ogden.

He had lived in Canada and Castle Dale from 1930 until 1932 when he came to Ogden.

He was a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are one son and four daughters, Calvin Earl Seely, Cypress, Calif.; Mrs. Winona Thorderson, Kaysville; Mrs. Rita Allred, Ogden; Mrs. Carl (Nadine) Anderson, Roy; Mrs. Joe (Earleen) Agrifolio, Middletown, N.J.; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, Dorman Seely, Payson, Utah; Mrs. Thora Killian, Orem; Mrs. Ora Mayer, Dragertan, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop John Thomas of the Roy 7th Ward officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services. Burial in the Washington Heights Memorial Park.

ROY – Funeral services for Justus Earl Seely, 77, of Roy, who died Sunday in a Roy hospital, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel, Ogden, where friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services.

Mr. Seely was the brother of two Utah County residents.

He was born Sept. 7, 1896 in Castle Dale, Emery County, a son of Justus W. and Clara Sorensen Seely. On June 26, 1918 he married Rhoda Nelson in Cardston, Alta, Canada, and she died April 28, 1967.

He was a farmer and had worked at Hill Air Force Base and Ogden Defense Depot. He was a member of the lds Church.

Survivors include one son and four daughters, Calvin Earl Seely, Cyprus, Calif.; Mrs. Winona Thorderson, Kaysville; Mrs. Rita Allred, Ogden; Mrs. Carl (Nadine) Anderson, Roy, and Mrs. Joe (Earlen) Agrifollo, Middletown, N.J.; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Dorman Seely, Payson; Mrs. Thora Killian, Orem, and Mrs. Ora Mayer, East Carbon City, Carbon County.
