Mrs. Seely was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Lincoln, daughter of the late Charles and Minerva Bethard.

She worked for about 25 years at O.A. Newton and Sons in Bridgeville, where she substituted on the switchboard at the main office, then worked in the appliance department. She appreciated both co-workers and customers she met over the years.

Mrs. Seely was a member of Todd's Church and the Methodist Women's Group for many years, later attending services with an independent Christian group where she grew in relationship with her Savior. Family and friends will all miss her prayers and special encouragements from her kitchen while rejoicing in her homecoming celebration with the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clifton Stuart Seely; a sister, Althea Dickerson; and a brother, Ross Bethard.

She is survived by a son, Michael Seely of Greenwood; two daughters, Jeanette Seely of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Faye Faraone of Greenwood; two sisters-in-law, Alma Smith of Plantation, Fla., and Bernice Brittingham of Laurel; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many valued family and friends.
