Leslie C. Seely Jr. (Junior), 79, passed away June 16, 2003 in the Dixie Regional Medical Center due to cancer. He was born on December 19, 1923 to Leslie Cyrus Seely and Ora Margaret Johnson Seely in Salina, Utah. He married the beautiful Flor Worthen on April 25, 1946, and later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
He grew up in Redmond, Utah and graduated from North Sevier High School Salina, Utah. He graduated from Snow College in Ephraim, Utah and moved to Cedar City, Utah in 1971 and then graduated from SUSC in 1984 on the high honor roll. He taught Industrial Arts for 15 years in Cedar Middle School and loved every student.
He is survived by his wife Flora Seely of Cedar City; Children: LaReta Seely (Ron) Blackham of Mesa, Arizona, Clifford Young Seely of Salt Lake City, Michael June (Jackie) Seely of Mona, Utah; two brothers: James Delmar Seely of West Jordan, and Erin Simeon Seely of West Valley City; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 10:30 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cedar City, 14th Ward Chapel (400 N 450 W). Friends and family may call Friday evening, June 20, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. both viewings at the Southern Utah Mortuary. Interment will be at the Redmond City Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary (435) 586-4040.
