Luther J. Seely, Sr.

POQUOSON - Luther J. Seely Sr., 77, a native of Puerto Rico, died Sunday, June 9, 1996. He was a Poquoson resident for 35 years.

He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding, X18 Welders, in 1985 after 44 years. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Holloway-Moore American Legion Post No. 273, Poquoson.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor E. Seely; sons and daughters-in-law, Luther J. and Sharon Seely Jr., Nelson R. and Frances Seely, Ronald W. Seely, and David A. and Linda Seely; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda J. and Delbert Fox, and Rhonda S. and Arnie Smith; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Lamar Williams; 10 grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

"You are our angel amongst us Daddy, Granddaddy, and Great-Granddaddy."

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tabernacle United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dick Helveston and the Rev. Henry Sudduth. Burial in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
