Mary Jane Norris Seely

May Jane Norris Seely, 75, De Pere, Wis., died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born Aug. 28, 1927, to the late George Hutchinson and Hazel Belle Long Norris. For 22 years Mary Jane was an elementary school Physical Education Teacher. She was a harpist and also taught swimming. Mary Jane had a love of the outdoors and she especially enjoyed camping. She had fond memories of Clearwater Camp in Minoqua, Wis., where she spent her youth as a camper and later as a counselor. She also enjoyed cooking, knitting and making other crafts, and had a fondness for pets.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan (Lisa) and Patrick Pelky, Oneida, Wis.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Angela and Roman Cheslock, Amber Brehmer-Pelky, all of Green Bay; Jesse Pelky and James Pelky, Oneida; two great-grandchildren, Caine and Alisa Cheslock; and one sister-in-law, Louise Bone and her husband, Dr. Chet Bone, Jacksonville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, George H. Norris.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Kim Sechler officiating. Burial will be in Diamond Grove Cemetery, Jacksonville, Ill.
