Seely Service Scheduled For Mexia Friday
Funeral services for O.C. (Slue) Seely, former Mexia resident and employee with the J.K. Hughes Oil Company, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Mr. Seely died Wednesday morning at 2:30 at a Silsbee hospital. He was owner of a service station at Silsbee, where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Officiating will be the Rev. Eugene Jonte, pastor of the First United Methodist Church at Silsbee. Burial will be in Mexia Cemetery, under direction of Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Mr. Seely was a brother-in-law of Mrs. J.L. Blair and Mrs. L.H. Simpson of Mexia. Others surviving are his wife, Margaret of Silsbee; two sons, Claxton Seely of San Antonio and Steve Seely of San Francisco, Calif.; and two brothers, Oral Seely of Oklahoma and Olin Seely of Louisana.
