CHILLICOTHE - Pairlee Seely, age 83, longtime resident of Chillicothe died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 23, 2004, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Chillicothe with the Rev. Wallace Clay and the Rev. Roy Canada officiating. Internment will be in Chillicothe Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Chillicothe.

Pairlee was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Jamestown, Ark., a daughter of the late J.H. "Doc" and Neva Flynn York. She married Charles F. Seely Aug. 23, 1943, in Arkansas; he preceded her in death. She graduated from Deshea High School in Deshea, Ark., and Draughn's Business College. She attended First Baptist Church in Chillicothe. She was a retired co-owner, secretary and bookkeeper of Chillicothe Lumber Co. She later worked at Allsups Convenience Store in Chillicothe from 1980 until 1999.

She is survived by one son, Scott Seely and wife, Cissy of Lufkin, Texas; two daughters, Sue Seely of Los Angeles, and Ann Stecco and husband, Mike of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Charlie York of Harlingen, Texas, and Andrew York and wife, Sandy of Jamesville, Wis.; one sister, Cleo Faye Whitworth of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandsons, Michael Seely and wife, April of Houston, Matthew Seely of Houston, and Jonathan Stecco of Wichita Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
