The memorial service for Raymond Virgil Seely will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memory Gardens Mortuary in Medford. The Rev. John Braund of the First Presbyterian Church in Phoenix will officiate. Inurnment will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Mr. Seely, 76, of Medford, died Wednesday (March 31, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center, Medford.

He was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Hebron, Ind.

On Nov. 23, 1947, in Medford, he married Charlotte N. Walker, who survives.

Mr. Seely moved to the Rogue Valley in 1947 from Denver, Colo.

He was a Medford police officer for more than 29 years, retiring in 1978 as a lieutenant.

During World War II and the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy.

He enjoyed genealogy, woodworking and photography.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Joyce A. Seely, Medford, and Karen R. Hagle, Mesa, Ariz.; and a sister, Viola Peachey, Denver.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Seely.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
