HAMPTON - Sharon Oneda Seely, 59, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006. A member of Wallace Memorial United Methodist Church, Sharon was a tireless volunteer in the church, serving to help the community. She was a fantastic cook, always 'cooking for an army,' and was award winning in ceramic arts, crafts, and whatever her hands of gold touched. Sharon is survived by her husband of 43 loving years, Luther Jay Seely Jr.; sons, Larry Jay Seely, Brian Scott Seely and Randy D. Seely; mother and stepfather, Gerie and Bob Dunn; sister, Marilyn; brothers, Ralph and Bobby; grandchildren, Wayne, Nikki, Chelsea, Travis Jay and Brittany Nicole; several nieces and nephews; and a loving church family. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, at Wallace Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Norman G. Tippens. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Sharon will be missed by many and remembered for her loving way and willingness to help. The family would like to express special thanks to Jimmy and Linda Staples for their very special kindness.
