Shirley Ann Seely, 80, of West Bloomfield, MI; passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Jillian on Dec. 14, 2010. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell R. Seely and is survived by her children: Russell (Sue) Seely, Jr. of Canton, MI; Matthew (Tina) Seely of Grosse Pointe, MI; and Jillian (Allison Chonko) Seely of Chicago, IL; proud grandmother of Anthony, Allie, Laura, and Ryan Seely. Shirley taught us what elegance and grace truly meant. Services will be held in Grosse Pointe, MI in January. SEELY, SHIRLEY ANN; of West Bloomfield, MI; passed away peacefully on December 14, 2010, surrounded by love. Unfortunately we have lost another branch from the tree of knowledge. Shirley was the beloved wife of the late Russ Seely, Sr.; and the adored mother of Russell (Susan), Matthew (Tina), Jillian (Allison Chonko); and very special grandmother of Ryan, Alexandra, Laura and Anthony. Shirley was a muse. She inspired her husband and she was the driving force behind all our successes. She was both diligent and pure. She raised us all to believe in ourselves and our causes. Above all else she believed in helping mankind. Shirley was a woman who was ahead of her time. Her force will surely be missed, as will her direction, but her ideals will live forever. Please join the family in a Memorial Celebration of Shirley's Life on Sunday, January 16, 2011 beginning promptly at 1 p.m. at Lochmoor Country Club, 1018 Sunningdale Drive, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan.
