Publication Sidney John Allen Seely, 81, a native of New Iberia and a resident of Houma, died at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 1 p.m. today at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Moon Seely, of Houma; his sons, Michael Allen Seely and wife, Sheila, their children Amanda Seely, Kristi Seely Robert, her husband Stephen, their children Cooper and Carter all of Houma, Patrick John Seely and wife, Diane, of Houma, their children Ashley Seely of Baton Rouge, and Brian Seely and wife, Lindsay, and children Madeleine and Noah of Geismar; his daughters, Susan Seely Faulk and late husband, Byron Faulk, of Broussard, her children Brett Faulk of Houston, and Michelle Faulk LeBlanc and husband, Sammy, and son Joey Bohannon of New Iberia, and Laurie Seely Dugas and husband, Noah “Buba,” and their children Jarred, Baylen and Jayden of Prairieville; his daughter-in-law, Jill Seely Bianca, her children Jacob Seely and wife, Erica, and Benjamin Seely and his daughter, Aubree of Houma; and one sister, Myra McDaniel and husband, Harold, of Conway Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney John Allen Seely Sr. and Laura Bourgeois Seely; one son, Daniel Bruce Seely; and one great-grandson, Christopher Faulk.

He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church, and his last employment was with Washington Manufacturing Company.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
