Summerfield – Dr. Thomas Johnston Seely, 47, died Saturday, May 3, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 N. Elm St., Greensboro.

Dr. Seely was born Aug. 12, 1955 to Fred and Bleanor Seely, both of who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Matheson Grove “Matt” Seely of Pleasant Garden; sister, Nina Summer of New York; and brothers, Fred Seely III of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kent Seely of Asheville.

Dr. Seely completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and received his medical degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. He practices psychiatry for 20 years, both in private practice in Greensboro and unitl his death at Sandhills Mental Health Center.

Tom’s intellect, wit and charm will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him. In lieu of floral offerings, donations may be made to Sandhills Central Health Center or Duke University Cancer Research Program.
