SOUTH BEND - Vivian Marie Seely is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (Bob) Clark, Sue (Bob) Kistler, Donna (Tom) Petersen and Carol (Tom) Csenar; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-, 4 great-great; and a brother, George Walter. Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Evangel Heights United Methodist Church. Vivian Marie Seely, 95, passed away at 8:12 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Mrs. Seely was born on November 14, 1915 in Parke County, IN to the late George and Hazel (Shupp) Walter. She has lived in our local area since 1939. On February 25, 1939 in Bloomingdale, IN, she married Harold K. Seely who preceded in death on March 17, 2007. Also preceding her in death was her granddaughter, Janet (Clark ) Mikesell, sister, Mary Woody, and her brother, Lowell Walter.

Vivian formerly worked with E.H. Tepe and Co. She was a faithful member of the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church where she was active with the church bazaars and making candy. While living at Tanglewood, she was active with Bible Study, chair exercises and bingo. Vivian loved to quilt, crochet and sew.

Mrs. Seely is survived by her four daughters, Marilyn (Bob) Clark of South Bend, Sue (Bob) Kistler of Granger, Donna (Tom) Petersen of Ft. Wayne, and Carol (Tom) Csenar of Huntington Beach, CA; nine grandchildren, Joann (Dan) Littrell , Joe (Shirley) Clark, Lori (Scott) Lancaster, Teri (Parrish) Kruger, Kathy (Stephen) Roberts, Rev. David (Jacquie) Petersen, Beth (Matt) Eash, Lee Csenar, and Lynette Csenar; 16 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. Vivian's brother, George (Doris) Walter of Bloomingdale, IN, also survives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 N. Ironwood, South Bend. Rev. Patrick Somers will officiate. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30th, at the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend and one hour prior to services in church on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Vivian Marie Seely may be donated to the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 N. Ironwood, South Bend, IN 46615.
