Walter C. Seely


SEELY, Walter C., 82, of New Port Richey, passed away Jan. 22, 2008, at his residence. He was born in Stamford, CT, and relocated to Florida in 1991. He was employed by the City of Stamford Police Department where he served as a police officer and retired at the rank of Lieutenant. Mr. Seely was a Mason and a Shriner a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII. His memberships included the American Legion Paradise Post 79, New Port Richey, VFW Chester McKay Post 7987, New Port Richey, Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 3153, New Port Richey, Marine Corps League 567, Elfers, Amvets Inc, Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Fraternal Order of Elks BPOE. Survivors include his wife. Marilyn (Lee) Seely, of New Port Richey; a son, Walter F. Seely II; 4 daughters, Gail Havee, Barbara Selbeck, Geraldine Kelleher and Gwen Lee Cochran; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grand-children. A Memorial Service will be conducted by the Pearl of the West Masonic Lodge 126 F&AM on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at 2:30 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the care of North/Meadowlawn Funeral Home, New Port Richey. Memorial contributions may be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice as tribute.
