WHITESBORO - Funeral services for Watson Seely, 79, will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Mike Flanagan officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Watson passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ in Sherman.

He was born on Aug. 25, 1931 in Whitesboro to Elwyn Warren Seely and Maisie Ruth (Watson) Seely. He married Patsy Jean Perry in December of 1951 in Dallas. He served as a U.S. Postal Carrier in Whitesboro for 35 years. He was a member of the Grayson County Sheriff's Posse, the Whitesboro Volunteer Fire Dept., the Whitesboro Riding Club and the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro. He served on the Whitesboro ISD School Board for 10 years. He had coached Little League and Pony League Baseball and was also a private airplane pilot.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Seely of Whitesboro; a son, Dr. Randy Seely and wife, Jenny of Highland Village; two grandchildren, Stacy Mohr and husband, Bill of New York City, and Scott Seely of College Station; two sisters, Mary Kay Hughes and husband, Ron of Sealy and Virginia Carroll and husband, Charles of Garland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Jim Perry, Bob Perry, Ron Perry, Brent Brooks, Zach Perry, Ben Perry and Chris Watson.
