Wesley F. Seely

Publication ELMA – Wesley F. Seely,67, a resident of Elma for the past 23 years, died at a Seattle hospital Thursday.

He was born Feb. 12, 1907, at Grand Junction, Colo., and worked for Simpson Timber Co. at McCleary for 20 years, retiring two years ago. He served as a master sergeant in the Army Air Corps overseas during World War II. He was a member and past president of the Elma Eagles Aerie. At one time he served as a chairman for the East County Red Cross Blood Drive and for the Eastern Grays Harbor Cancer Society.

Survivors include his wife Esther, at the family home, a daughter, Mrs. Shari Rasmussen of Satsup, three step-daughters, Mrs. Marcia Corbett, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Shirley Olson of Olympia and Mrs. Betty WIntermute of Tacoma; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Jones in California; three brothers, Robert Seely of Bernard, Alaska, Albert Seely of Bremerton and Manuel Seely of Morristown, Ariz.., three sisters, Mrs. Christabel Francis, Chula Vista, Calif., Mrs. Josephine Nickerson, Grand Junction, Colo., and Mrs. Ada Griggs, Imperial Beach Calif., 11 step grandchildren, four step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements will be announced by the Whiteside Mortuary of Elma.
