SEELY, WILLIAM - William Arthur Seely of Petitcodiac and formerly Havelock passed away Sunday August 28, 2005 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Havelock March 3, 1909 he was a son of the late Bliss and Mary (Gourley) Seely. Bill was a long time employee of the Swift Canadian Company in both N.B. and P.E., retiring in 1974. He was a member of the Church of England and attended St. Paul's Anglican Church, Havelock. He was a Past Master and life member of the former Fownes Lodge No. 45 F & AM Havelock, a member of the Harmony Lodge No. 20 F&AM, Salisbury and a member of the Eastern Star, Gloria Chapter. He was an avid hunter and sports fisherman.

Survived by a sister Lillian Keith, Fredericton; a brother Leslie, Salisbury; several nieces and nephews. Uncle Bill was special second dad to Dareth Ryder Thorne, Judy Ryder Jonah and Debbie Ryder McAllister. Predeceased by his wife of 67 years the former Doris Humphrey, infant son Ronald, sisters Clara Keith, Lurena Brown, Hazel Seely, Florence Seely, Alice Clark, Lena Seely, a brother Charles.

Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Harmony Lodge will conduct a memorial service Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral parlour. The Funeral will be held from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Havelock on Wednesday August 31 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. W. Morton Officiating. Interment at the Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock. If so desired memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
