William J. (Joe) Seely


William J. (Joe) Seely, age 63, died April 18, 1997 at Northern Nevada Medical Center. A native of Columbus, Oh., he was born on October 28, 1933 to Irene (Peg) and William J. Seely. He has lived in Reno for 11 years, coming from Dunsmuir, Calif., where he owned and operated the Dunsmuir Printing Co. Joe is preceded in death by his father William J. Seely. Surviving are his mother, Peg Dorris of Columbus, Oh.; wife, Jody of Reno; children, Joseph A. of Massillon, Oh., Daniel of Canton, Oh., Steven of Oklahoma City, Okla., Theresa Allen of Reno, Nev., Joanne Corriveau of Columbus, Oh. and Joseph C. Thum of Reno, Nev.; brother, Alan Seely of Carmel, Calif. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many, many wonderful friends. Joe was a member of Emmanuel First Baptist Church, Sparks, Nev., where he loved singing in the choir. A veteran of the Korean War and a member of Dunsmuir-McCloud Masonic Lodge 297. No funeral is scheduled at Joe's request, however, there will be a Memorial service at Emmanuel First Baptist Church, 1100 12th St., Sparks, on May 2, 1997 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Emmanuel First Baptist Church, Memorial Endowment Fund, 1100 12th St., Sparks, Nev. 89431.
