The funeral services will be held at his late residence, No. 11 South Carrollton avenue, on Saturday, at 2 P.M. Interment private.

MR. A. J. SEELYE DEAD

Octogenarian Had Charge Of One Of The First Sleeping Cars.

Mr. Andrew Jackson Seelye, 82 years old, who had charge of one of the first sleeping cars on the Baltimore and Ohio railroad, died yesterday morning from the infirmities of age at his home, 11 South Carrollton avenue. He had been confined for about two months.

Born in Philadelphia, he came here in the fifties and entered the service of the Baltimore and Ohio and served for more than 25 years in various capacities. He left to become a patrolman. He was first stationed in the old Western district, and later was transferred to the Southwestern. He remained on the force 12 years, going thence with Bartlett, Hayward & Co. Here he injured his leg.

Mr. Seelye was a distant relative of the late P.T. Barnum, the circus man. He is survived by two sons, George A. and William S. Seelye, a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth V. Geddes, of Catonsville, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
