Henry H. Seelye

PEKIN – (PNS) – Henry H. Seelye, 40, of 710 Park Avenue, died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday of an apparent heart attack. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Pekin Public Hospital.

His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kuecks Funeral Home with the Rev. James V. Morsch officiating. Burial will be in the Forest City Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born May 27, 1921, at Manito, the son of Henry and Mattie B. Dyer Seelye. He married Velma Jarrett Sept. 12, 1941, at Palmyra, Mo. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Bouchez and Velma JoAnn Seelye, both of Pekin; a son, William Henry of Pekin; two brothers, Carl W. and Edward D., and a sister, Mrs. Henry Williamson, all of Pekin.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Amvets and First Church of the Nazarene. He served 36 months overseas during World War II.
