Henry Seelye

PEKIN – (PNS) – Henry Seelye, 84, died at 11 p.m. Monday at Pekin Public Hospital. He had been ill six months.

His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kuecks Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph H. Albrecht of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest City Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 18, 1871, at Manito, a son of Charles and Louise Greenfeller Seelye. He was married to Mattie Belle Dyer Dec. 24, 1896, at Manito.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Williamson; four sons, Jeff, Edward, Carl, Henry Harrison, Pekin; a sister Mrs. Minnie Owens, Williamsville; a brother Isaac, Pekin; a half-brother, Louis, Pekin; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Two sons, two daughters, five brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
