Melvin L. Seelye, 81, Lisbon, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, in Lisbon Medical Center Nursing Home.
Mr. Seelye, known as "Bus," was born April 24, 1920, near Elliott, N.D., where he grew up and attended school. He married Lois Swanson Dec. 29, 1975, in Webster, S.D. They farmed near Elliott. He also hauled cattle. They moved to Lisbon in 1996.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Marvin (Susan), Lisbon, Marlowe (Karen), Mechanicsville, Pa., Larry (Kay), Gwinner, N.D., David (Darcie), Prineville, Ore.; two daughters, Cheryl (Wendell) Wolters, Lisbon, Marcia (John) Nefs, Grand Forks, N.D.; a brother, Clifford (Betty), Fort Ransom, N.D.; two sisters, Ida Maack, Foxhome, Minn., Ethel Maack, Fergus Falls, Minn.; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday from 3-9 in Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon.
Funeral: Monday at 10 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon.
Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.
