Owen E. Seelye

Owen E. Seelye, 68, of East Lackawannock Township, New Wilmington, RD 2, died at 6:03 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 1987, at Greenville Regional Medical Hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Seelye, formerly of Titusville, was born May 23, 1919, in Medina, N.Y., a son of Owen W. and Theo Kurtzhaltz Seelye.

He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1937.

He worked for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. In 1977, he retired from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service where he had been a game management agent. He was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Forestry School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion of Mercer.

He is survived by his wife, the former Gertrude M. Ryder, whom he married March 1, 1943; and a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Belotti of Saxonburg; and two grandchildren.
