Owen W. Seelye, 76, died yesterday morning at the Crawford County Hospital in Saegertown where he had been a patient since Oct. 20, 1955.

He was born Aug. 30, 1880, in Fillmore Township, Fillmore County, Minn. He came East as a young man and settled in Pennsylvania where for a number of years he had been associated with National Sales organization of Gowanda, N.Y. He had traveled widely as their representative until ill health forced his retirement.

He was a member of St. Walburga’s Church and the Titusville Elks.

He leaves one son, Owen E. Seelye of East Haven, Conn., and a granddaughter, Patricia.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday at the Howard E. Johnson Funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Walburga’s Church and burial will be in St. Catharine’s Cemetery.

Requiem high mass for Owen W. Seelye was celebrated by Rev. Cyril Cooper yesterday morning at St. Walburga’s Church.

For burial in St. Catharine’s Cemetery, the following members of the Titusville Elks lodge served as bearers: Russell Baldwin, Theodore Bartholomew, Milton Colvin, H.H. Davis, C.R. McNierney Jr. and Joseph Lamenskie.

Mr. and Mrs. Owen E. Seelye and daughter Patricia of East Haven, Conn., attended the service.
