Montgomery, Feb. 23. – Dr. S.D. Seelye died at 10:23 a.m. today. He was 57 years old, a native of Connecticut, and prominent in the medical circles of the United States. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon.

The deceased has resided in this city since 1865. In 1885 he was married to Miss Amelia J. Bigelow, of New York, who survives him. He had been a member of the Montgomery County Medical Society since its inception, and its president for three consecutive terms, acting in that capacity during the last yellow fever epidemic. He was the vice president of the American Medical Association in 1875, and was a member of the State Board of Censors since 1878.
