Steven Paul Seelye, 58, of Ferguson, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Steven is survived by his wife, Kathy Seelye, his children; Stacy (Jeff) Roads of Le Grand, and Renae (Chris) Mason also of Le Grand, Iowa and Steve Jr. of Ferguson; his eight grandchildren; his mother Avis Seelye, his brother Allan (Connie Rose) Seelye, of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Steven Paul Seelye, 58, of Ferguson, died Sunday, October 13, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Following cremation, private family services will be held at a later date.

Steven was born on January 19, 1954, in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Harold and Avis (Bluhm) Seelye. Steven received his GED from Charles City High School and then went on to attend Des Moines Area Community College in Newton, Iowa, to obtain his degree in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). He was united in marriage to Kathy Ferch on December 4, 1972, in Charles City, Iowa. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, his hosta flowers, spending time in his garden and being outdoors. Throughout his lifetime he worked at Kiowa, Midwest Manufacturing, and also drove over the road for CTC.

Steven is survived by his wife, Kathy Seelye, his children; Stacy (Jeff) Roads of LeGrand, Iowa and Renae (Chris) Mason also of LeGrand, Iowa and Steve Jr. of Ferguson, Iowa; his grandchildren; Chase Sanache, Blake Mason, Hannah Roads, Owen Seelye, Rylie Mason, Brody Roads, Dylan Seelye, and Kaden Roads; his mother Avis Seelye, his brother Allan (Connie Rose) Seelye of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Steven was preceded in death by his father Harold and his two brothers Rick and Marty.
